This post has no reasoning. But, feathers!?

Can someone please explain to me why there are feathers in Dean's trunk?!? That came completely out of left field, and wasn't explained, and Sam didn't even looked surprised by it. I mean, I was surprised by it. I thought the wings were supposed to be incorporeal?
It's not that I'm against Dean having Cas's feathers in his trunk - quite the opposite actually - but I want to know how or why. Or why Sam didn't even react. I mean, Dean tells him Henry stole the feathers from the trunk, and Sam's just pulls his 'dammit' face. There wasn't even a moment of 'wait what? Why do you.. on second thought, I don't want to know'.

I saw a pic on Tumblr a few days ago with Cas hiding in the boot of Dean's car. It was the funniest thing I've seen in a while, and so until I receive a better one, it's going to be my reasoning for why there are feathers in the boot of Dean's car. Just because.

Actually, I'm starting to think that Dean put together this little stash of 'Cas things' in the boot of his car during the time he thought Cas was dead. It's the sweetest thing ever, and kind of heartbreaking and...

This is almost completely unrelated, but I've fallen in love with the ot3 Castiel/Dean/Benny since I found out it was called Destiny. I can't even express how perfect this is. THIS FANDOM HAS A PAIRING CALLED DESTINY. (The caps-lock just then was completely unintentional, but I think it fits, so I'm gonna leave it.) And it actually really works as a relationship too. I mean; Dean/Cas I'm pretty sure I don't have to explain, you've got four seasons there to do it for me. Dean and Benny have this epic friendship and understanding, and I honestly think Benny is the only one who really actually understands the thing between Cas and Dean, because he got to see it from a fresh new outlook, without knowing or experiencing all the baggage that has happened between those too. Plus, he got to see Dean act around Cas without all the fake posturing and emotional barriers. Which is another thing about Dean and Benny. Benny is one of the few people who actually got to meet and get to know the real Dean. Most people (including Sam a lot of the time) only get to see the persona of who Dean thinks he should be, or of what he thinks is going to get him what he wants as quickly and easily as possible. But purgatory was, as Benny called it, raw, and that's what we got in purgatory; Dean, raw, and the core of who he is. Which is the Dean that Benny got to know. And that, that means something. But the best part is the dynamic between Cas and Benny. I don't think anyone has ever managed to get under Cas's skin just by opening their mouth like Benny does. Which, again, means something. Plus, Benny may act annoyed, but he totally enjoys it. Go back and watch the scene with Cas and Benny arguing, and look at the smirk on Benny's face. And then there's the fact that Benny saves Castiel. When he totally didn't have to. In fact, it probably would have made things easier on him if he hadn't. But he did it anyway. And the look on Cas's face after he does. Like he's only just seeing him for the first time. I'm totally succeeding in convincing myself that this should be a thing.
All this said, I'm completely aware that Benny is heterosexual and totally happy for him to have a platonic role in this relationship. As long as he is part of it. I feel like it could be like in Scrubs, where Turk and Carla have this totally epic marriage, but it only really works with JD around, even though neither of them are sexually attracted to him.

This reminds me, I have this idea for a prison AU where Benny is a lifer in a high security prison, and Dean is his new cell mate, also a lifer. Benny has an escape plan, but he needs his cellmate in on it to be able to pull it off. Dean agrees, on the condition that they get his mate Cas out too. It's Dean's fault Cas is in there is the first place, and he won't leave without him.
Benny's non-supernatural character has been developing in my head all day. He's an ex-addict who worked, possibly as a hit-man, for a mafia boss, known most commenly as The Old Man. Then he meets a girl, falls in love with her, gets clean and tries to leave the mafia. They have almost a year of peace before they find him. In the ensuing fighting/fleeing for his life the police catch up with him and he is sentenced to life imprisonment (they're in a state that doesn't have the death penalty). He doesn't know what happened to his wife. He can only hope that she's safe.
I'm also starting to think that this story fits into my cult au, Which is majorly exciting. Wow I am excited for this story. I am also really tired and should go to bed. Haha, this was just supposed to be a short post asking about feathers. Now look where we're at. I've decided I really like my Livejournal. It's good for ranting and talking about things that I don't really have people to talk about with. Like Supernatural. The girl that got me into it moved to over an hour away and I havn't really talked to her much since she left. The only other peole I know that watch it are my friend's boyfriend, who I've only met like, twice, and my other friend, who's only seen up to season three. So yeah. I should really send the chick who convinced me to get a lj account a present.

Oh1 before I go, random other thought I had, which I'm too tired to do tonight (but probably will anyway). I really think it would be awesome if Dexter Morgan from Dexter and Damon Salvatore from Vampire Diaries were to meet. Because I realised today that they're rather similar. In a freakish scary kind of way. Mainly because they both have uncontrollable urges to kill people. Besides that they're rather different. But still. They should meet. It would be appropriately disturbing.
Ok. Really am going to bed now.
