Been on my mind for a while.

Can I just say, I'm getting sick of the whole 'Bobby raised the boys' thing. Bobby didn't raise them. He baby-sat them a few times when they were kids. He played ball with them when their dad was too busy to. This doesn't make him their father. He had not taken on a father's role. The role Bobby played in their lives was more akin to that of a grandparent or a godparent or an UNCLE.

I have so much more to say about this topic; Bobby (and the unreliable narrator) and John (and why I think fandom judges him too harshly) but it's going to take a lot of time to write, and I want to set it out properly, instead of just rambling about my feelings.
