I'm just an I.T. girl, standing in front of a monster, asking it not to kill her.

omg, CHARLIE!!!!! I am SO excited that you're back!

For me, LARP and the Real Girl was an epicly amazing episode. I'd hoped, when I saw the ads for this week's episode, that Charlie would be in it, but I didn't really have high expectations for it happening.

Dean and Charlie = platonic soulmates for life. I love them together. I spent the whole episode squeeing. I think I annoyed my mum to the point where she decided to go to bed early just to get away from my fangirling madness.
But Charlie as a Queen? perfect. I don't think I'm going to stop calling her Queen Charlie in my head any time soon.

And the on screen kiss between Charlie and Guilda. Was kinda awesome. I love how Charlie gets mega awkward and dorky when ever she's around someone she likes. It's hilarious and adorable. But back to the kiss. I feel like this gradual exposure to same-sex relationships is could be building up to something. It gives me new hope for Dean and Cas. Although, that said, I agree with all those people that think that Cas is asexual, and so don't really expect (or even really wan't) anything major to happen with them. Just... Cas kissing Dean platonically in a completely nonsexual way would totally make my life me happy.
I want to see more Dean-and-Charlie-ness!! Them talking strategy for the LARPing was priceless. And Dean sitting down and telling Charlie all about what's been going on with Sam... I need more of this. I love when Dean's going on about moving on and letting go and Charlie says “Are we still talking about Sam or did you break up with someone too?"
Which brings my attention to the fact that, as much as Sam goes on about sharing feelings, he's really not very observant of Dean's. Yes, Sam broke up with his girlfriend. Yes, I understand that it was heartbreaking for him. But seriously? Dean was with Benny for just as long as Sam was with Amelia, and they went through a hell of a lot more together then the two lovebirds did. Dean's being all understanding of Sam's situation, but Sam isn't being understanding of Dean's. The thing is, I'm pretty sure if Dean had hooked up with a female monster in purgatory instead of Benny, Sam would be more understanding of the difficulty of just saying goodbye and never seeing them again - not accepting, but understanding. It's like... Sam doesn't value friendship as being as important as romantic relationships. Which, now I've said that, makes sense. All of Sam's great memories are of romantic relationships. For him, that's the great unattainable. Whereas Dean has romantic relations all the time. He falls in love at the drop of a hat (which is sweet and endearing and kind of heartbreaking). He was with Cassie two weeks and was head over heels for her. For him, friendship is the great unattainable. He's got to much ingrained caution and paranoia to ever really let his guard down enough to truly call someone his friend. Yet because of the circumstances, he was able to do that with Benny. And he threw it away for Sam. Of course he did.
I'm actually not hating on Sam as much this week as I was last. I'm still annoyed at him, but he didn't really do anything in this episode to piss me off.

Lastly (because I really need to go to bed) I want Dean to tell Charlie everything, like about Benny and stuff (because I don't think I did, I think he just told her all the things he did wrong, and not why he was doing them). And separately to this, I want her to bring up the possibility of him liking guys, even if he denies it and it goes no where - just because it would be fun to see him sputter and get all indignant and embarrassed. hehe.
